Before coaching entrepreneurs and diagnosing businesses, Michael PARISE built them himself. Not from a boardroom. Not from a textbook. From kitchens, stages, restaurants, late nights, payroll stress, marketing failures, packed dining rooms, and real-world decisions where the outcome actually mattered.
Long before strategy sessions and consulting calls, Michael was a nationally recognized stand-up comedian performing at the highest levels of the industry. Comedy teaches you something most people never learn: how to think under pressure. On stage, there’s nowhere to hide. You either control the room or the room controls you.
That environment sharpened instincts that would later become the foundation of every business he built.
But entertainment was only one chapter.
Michael also became an award-winning chef and restaurateur, earning induction into the Great Chefs of Los Angeles in 2003. In one of the toughest hospitality markets in the country, he learned what separates businesses that survive from businesses that dominate: execution, branding, consistency, and understanding people.
His entrepreneurial journey started humbly—inside a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles—when he launched Cannoli Kings Catering. What began as a small Italian-American catering operation exploded into one of the most recognized catering brands in Los Angeles, eventually becoming the only catering company ever allowed on Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
From there came Tangerine in West Hollywood, one of the hottest celebrity-driven restaurants of its era. Later came Parise’s New American Bistro in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where Michael introduced one of the region’s first true farm-to-table concepts long before it became trendy.
Then came another chapter of reinvention.
Years later, the PARISE family launched Parise’s Coffee — blending Italian-American hospitality, roasting, branding, storytelling, and experience into something deeply personal. What started in Venice, Florida evolved into a nationally shipped small-batch coffee brand built around family, tradition, and quality.
But the roots of the coffee story go back even further.
The PARISE name was always tied to hospitality, food, conversation, and bringing people together. Coffee simply became another extension of that legacy.
Today, with the relaunch of Parise’s Coffee under The PARISE brand umbrella, Michael and his family are returning to what built them in the first place: authenticity, family ownership, hard work, and creating products and experiences people actually connect with.
No corporate gimmicks.
