Back in 2022, a small family-owned coffee company opened up in Venice and quietly started building something special.

Parise’s Coffee wasn’t created by corporate investors or some giant franchise company. It was built by a family that has spent decades in the food, restaurant, catering, and hospitality business.

Michael Wheels Parise has owned and operated restaurants in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and throughout North Carolina. Long before gourmet desserts became mainstream, he founded Cannoli Kings Catering in Los Angeles, where he became known for taking the traditional Italian cannoli and reinventing it with over 365 different flavors and varieties.

Today, many bakeries and dessert companies across the country use concepts inspired by Chef Parise’s original ideas — elevated cannolis, creative fillings, and modern Italian-American dessert experiences that are now seen everywhere nationwide.

But coffee was always part of the family story.

When the Parise family opened their little coffee truck and café in Venice, Florida, people immediately connected with it. Fresh roasted coffee. Authentic Italian pastries. Incredible sandwiches. Real hospitality. No gimmicks. Just quality and consistency.

Word spread quickly. Locals loved it. Tourists found it. Celebrities endorsed it. Customers from all over the country started ordering coffee online by the bean and by the bag.

The Espresso Roast developed a loyal following.
The Fat Clemenza Roast became legendary.
And the Cannoli Cream Coffee became the flavor people never stopped talking about.

Everything was — and still is — family owned and operated. Every roast done in small batches with premium beans and old-school attention to flavor and freshness.

The reason the bags proudly say “Since 2004” is because that was the year Michael and Sherilene Parise met and started building their family together. In 2005, their daughter Catherine was born, and the Parise family legacy officially began.

After several hurricanes impacted the Venice area, the family decided to shut down the little shop for a while and regroup. But they never stopped roasting coffee. They simply took time to reformat, rebuild, and prepare for the next chapter.

Now they’re back.
